Choose a plan and manage a subscription
A plan determines available features and capacity. Your actual access also depends on organization settings and permissions. Use the organization's current information and billing screens to check what applies to it.
Compare capability, usage and access
| Question | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Is the feature included? | Organization Information, including plan capabilities. |
| Is there room for another object or member? | Capacity indicators and usage. |
| Can this member use it? | User type, roles and feature permissions. |
| Which subscription is billed? | Billing for the organization or account concerned. |
Capacity can cover assets, visualization types, scenarios and users. Viewer seats are counted separately from Editors, Administrators and the Owner. An unlimited capacity does not display a numerical maximum.
Do not infer access from the plan name alone. For example, scenarios can require organization activation and a member's creation permission even when included.
Find billing and invoices
- As the eligible organization Owner, open Organization settings > Billing.
- Check the organization, subscription status, plan, seats, billing period and amounts shown.
- In Invoices, inspect the invoice number, date, period, amount and status. Use the available viewing or download action.
- For subscriptions attached to your account, open Account settings > Billing. Manage subscriptions opens the customer portal.
Organization billing is reserved to the Owner and is unavailable during an SSO session. Administrator alone does not grant this page. Account billing also excludes SSO sessions, and its navigation entry requires an associated billing account. Having both password and SSO methods does not make every session equivalent.
Portal access depends on the billing account associated with the subscription. Becoming organization Owner does not automatically transfer another person's payment account. Plans managed outside the self-service billing system may not offer the same action card; contact the person managing your subscription.
When an organization moves from Stripe billing to Enterprise, its former Owner becomes an Administrator. If you pay for no other Stripe subscription, account Billing and the customer portal become unavailable while that Enterprise organization exists. Contact Boldo for invoices. If you retain another Stripe subscription, account billing remains accessible.
Change a subscription or payment method
- Open the subscription's Manage menu.
- Choose Modify Subscription to adjust the subscription, or Payment Method to update its payment method.
- Review the portal's price, seat count, billing interval and effective date before confirming.
- Complete the portal procedure, return to Boldo and check the resulting subscription state.
Opening the portal does not itself confirm a purchase or change. Use its displayed terms and your agreement for prices, prorating and renewal conditions.
During initial organization setup, the plan selection screen offers monthly or annual choices. Self-service choices lead to a seat-count confirmation and checkout; the Enterprise choice leads to contact. An initialized organization uses its billing procedures rather than restarting initial setup.
If a paid subscription is not yet attached to an organization, its card can offer to finish organization setup. Follow that action rather than buying another subscription for the same purpose.
Cancel, reactivate or subscribe again
- To request cancellation, choose Manage > Cancel Subscription.
- Read the portal's effective date and consequences, then confirm only the intended cancellation.
- Return to Boldo and verify whether cancellation is scheduled or already effective.
For a scheduled cancellation, Reactivate removes the planned end-of-period cancellation. It is different from Subscribe Again, offered after the subscription has already been canceled.
When subscribing again, review the selected plan, monthly or annual interval and seat count before confirming. Changing the plan selection resets the seat count to one; recheck it before continuing.
Understand unavailable actions
A scheduled cancellation is not the same state as an already canceled or unpaid subscription. Effective cancellation or unpaid status can prevent writes and make features such as external share links unavailable.
Exceeding an organization capacity can also block writes, including actions beyond creating the object whose quota was exceeded. This does not mean every read, deletion or reduction action is unavailable.
Before changing roles to fix a missing command, check the subscription state and relevant limit. A plan restriction can make an otherwise editable account effectively read-only. Permission diagnosis distinguishes configured permissions from that effective access.
