Answers to common questions about Boldo.

Account and access

Can I belong to multiple organizations?

Yes. A Boldo account can belong to multiple organizations.

Use the organization selector or the Organizations page in your account to switch between them.

How do I change my email address?

Boldo does not currently provide an account setting to change your email address.

If you need to change it, contact Boldo support.

Inventory

Is the inventory just a list of assets?

No.

In Boldo, the inventory is the central knowledge base of the organization. The other visualizations build on top of it.

What defines the structure of the inventory?

The metamodel defines:

  • the asset types
  • the properties
  • the relationship types

What is the asset limit?

The asset limit depends on your plan. Check the Plan card on the Information page in your organization settings.

Can I import data from another tool?

Yes.

Use CSV import to create or update many assets at once. For recurring integrations, use the API.

Can I undo a deletion?

No. Asset deletion is permanent and cannot be automatically restored.

tip

If a deletion causes a major issue, Boldo keeps daily backups for one month and the database can sometimes be restored. This remains an exceptional operation, not a standard undo mechanism.

Visualization

Do diagrams update automatically?

It depends on what you mean.

If several people are editing the same diagram, their changes are reflected in real time. Changes to an asset that is already present in the diagram, such as its name, are also reflected there.

But a diagram is not a computed view that automatically adds assets or connections for you. Adding a new relation in the inventory does not automatically place the related assets in the diagram or reorganize the canvas. In that sense, a diagram should be understood as a final visual composition, not as an automatically generated layout.

Can I share a diagram with someone outside my organization?

Not directly from Boldo.

To share a diagram outside your organization, export it as a PNG image.

Metamodel

Can I rename an asset type without losing data?

Yes. Renaming an asset type does not delete the existing assets that use it.

Be more careful with deletions or structural changes, because those can remove data.

Deleting a property erases data from all assets of that type.

Collaboration

How many users can I invite?

The number of users depends on your plan. Check the Plan card on the Information page in your organization settings.

Are changes in real-time?

Diagrams and the catalog support real-time updates.

The rest of the product uses shared data that updates when you refresh or navigate.

Can two people edit the same asset at the same time?

Yes, but not as a live collaborative editor.

If two people edit the same asset at the same time, the last saved change wins.

How do I limit access to certain assets?

Use roles and access domains together.

API and integrations

Is the API available on all plans?

No. API access depends on your plan.

If the Developer page is available in your organization settings, your environment includes API access.

Are there native integrations?

Boldo mainly provides API-based integration today.

Check the Developer page and the API documentation to see what is available in your environment.

Billing

Where should I manage billing?

Use Billing in My Account.

Can I get an invoice?

Yes. When billing is managed in Boldo, invoices are available in Billing.
