Definitions of terms used in Boldo and enterprise architecture.
A
Access Domain
A business perimeter used to control access to shared content and assets.
Asset
The fundamental unit of information in Boldo. An asset represents something you want to document in the knowledge base.
Asset Type
A category of assets sharing the same structure. Asset types are part of the metamodel.
Draft Asset
A diagram element that has been named and placed visually but has not yet been added to the inventory as a full asset.

Canvas
The diagram workspace where you place and organize visual elements.
Catalog
The left-side area that stores saved folders and visualizations. It is split between personal space and organization space.
Chart
An analytical visualization built from the knowledge base, such as a pie chart, bar chart, or scatter chart.

Diagram
A visual workspace used to organize and present information from the knowledge base.

Enterprise Architecture
The discipline that structures and documents an organization's components, such as business capabilities, applications, data, and infrastructure, and the relationships between them.
Export
Data extraction from Boldo to an external file or image, depending on the current screen.

Filter
Selection criteria to display a subset of assets in a view or search.

Governance
Set of rules and processes that govern information system management: roles, responsibilities, workflows.
I
Import
Loading external data into Boldo, typically via CSV file.
Inventory
The central knowledge base of a Boldo organization.
Item
A folder or a visualization stored in the catalog. In Boldo, a visualization can be a view, a diagram, a chart, or a nested map.

Knowledge Base
The shared structured information stored in the inventory: assets, their properties, and their relationships.
M
Metamodel
The schema that defines asset types, properties, and relationship types in the knowledge base.

Nested Map
A hierarchical visualization computed from relationship paths and displayed as nested blocks.
O
Organization
Isolated workspace in Boldo with its own metamodel, inventory, and users. An account can belong to multiple organizations.
Organization Space
The shared part of the catalog used for content meant to be reused, published, or shared with other members of the organization.
P
360 Page
The detailed asset page that gathers the main information about one asset.
Personal Space
The private part of the catalog where a user can keep personal work, drafts, or copies not yet shared with the organization.
Property
A field defined in the metamodel to describe assets of a given type.
R
Relationship
The actual link between two assets in the inventory. It follows a relationship type defined in the metamodel.
Relationship Type
The rule in the metamodel that defines how one asset type can connect to another. A relationship type combines a source asset type, a relation name, and a target asset type.
Role
A permission set that defines what a user can do. Access domains define where those permissions apply.
U
User
Person with a Boldo account belonging to one or more organizations.
User Type
The global rights level of an organization member: Viewer, Editor, Administrator, or Owner.
V
Visualization
A saved representation built from the knowledge base. In Boldo, visualizations include views, diagrams, charts, and nested maps.
View
A structured reading of the knowledge base defined by filters, grouping, sorting, and layout options.
