Charts and Visualizations Upgrades

Charts received a major upgrade in this release, with new chart types, richer interactions, and a cleaner editing workflow.

New chart capabilities

  • Five new chart types: Line, Area, Radar, Gauge, and Metric
  • Drilldown on chart data points to inspect the underlying assets
  • New toolbar controls for display toggles
  • Theme picker with additional visual themes
  • PNG export with higher-resolution output

Configuration changes

Several chart concepts were clarified or redesigned:

  • Aggregation type is now the primary indicator setting
  • Grouping controls use clearer Group by wording in the UI
  • Line and Area charts now restrict the X axis to continuous property types

Filtering was reworked across multiple visualization types:

  • Flat filters were replaced by nested AND/OR filter groups
  • The same filter-group editor pattern is now used in richer visualization workflows

Also included in this release

  • Radar charts require a minimum number of points
  • Gauge charts can display the measured portion defined by a dedicated filter
  • Metric charts support a single KPI-style value
  • Additional named color palettes are available

Why this matters

This makes charts more useful both for analysis and storytelling. You can build more types of visuals, inspect the underlying assets from the chart itself, and work with more expressive filters without leaving the visualization context.
