Diagrams and Views Workflow Changes
Diagrams and views have been reworked to simplify creation flows, make canvas actions easier to find, and support more controlled editing.
Diagram creation and locking
- View-to-diagram creation now uses a guided flow with relation selection and preview counts before confirmation
- Diagrams can now be locked and unlocked from the canvas settings panel
- When a diagram is locked, editing is blocked until it is explicitly unlocked
Canvas and toolbar updates
- Toolbar actions such as download, labels, and favorite were reorganized into the canvas settings panel
- Rectangle nodes now support text alignment options
Editing and organization
- Selected diagram elements can now be copied and pasted from one diagram to another
- View sort and group controls were refined
- Draft asset creation in inventory now opens a dialog
- Group actions were clarified with separate Ungroup and Dissolve group behaviors
Removed and simplified
- Pivot table support was removed from views
- Table and card views remain the main view types in this workflow
Why this matters
Together, these updates make diagrams and views easier to create, edit, and organize. The workflow is more guided, canvas actions are easier to find, and day-to-day editing is more predictable.
