Diagrams and Views Workflow Changes

Diagrams and views have been reworked to simplify creation flows, make canvas actions easier to find, and support more controlled editing.

Diagram creation and locking​

  • View-to-diagram creation now uses a guided flow with relation selection and preview counts before confirmation
  • Diagrams can now be locked and unlocked from the canvas settings panel
  • When a diagram is locked, editing is blocked until it is explicitly unlocked

Canvas and toolbar updates​

  • Toolbar actions such as download, labels, and favorite were reorganized into the canvas settings panel
  • Rectangle nodes now support text alignment options

Editing and organization​

  • Selected diagram elements can now be copied and pasted from one diagram to another
  • View sort and group controls were refined
  • Draft asset creation in inventory now opens a dialog
  • Group actions were clarified with separate Ungroup and Dissolve group behaviors

Removed and simplified​

  • Pivot table support was removed from views
  • Table and card views remain the main view types in this workflow

Why this matters​

Together, these updates make diagrams and views easier to create, edit, and organize. The workflow is more guided, canvas actions are easier to find, and day-to-day editing is more predictable.
