Process Flow Editor
Boldo now includes a dedicated Process Flow module for modeling workflows, lifecycles, and pipelines directly inside flow-enabled assets.
Highlights
- A new visual editor for process flows, built around connected step nodes and edges
- Four step types: Task, Choice, Start, and End
- Rich step content with inline references to inventory assets
- A side panel to edit step details, icons, descriptions, and links
- Flow simulation to play through branches and decision paths
- Real-time multi-user collaboration in the editor
Configuration and access
Process Flow is controlled at multiple levels:
- It is available depending on your plan
- Asset types can now enable Flow in the metamodel
- Rights include dedicated flow access levels such as view and edit flow access
- Flow-enabled assets expose a Flow editor tab
Editing and navigation improvements
The editor also ships with practical workflow tools:
- Custom step icons
- Step reordering by drag and drop
- Branch labels, edge labels, and edge ordering
- Search inside the flow canvas
- Linked-assets panel and warnings for missing assets
- Canvas controls for zoom, fit, fullscreen, grid, animation, lock, and PNG export
- Links to assets referenced in the flow are managed automatically
Why this matters
This release makes it possible to model and share processes directly in Boldo. Assets represented in the editor remain linked to the asset, which means they can then be used like other asset types in Boldo for impact analysis, charts, and other visualizations.
